Come with us to our at-home appointment with Flo and Jerry

September 17, 2026

Every home visit has its own personality, and Flo and Jerry's was no exception.

This visit covered a general check-up, C5 vaccinations, and an arthritis injection for Flo, all without either of them needing to leave the comfort of home.

Two very different patients

Jerry brought his usual awkward charm to the appointment, all elbows and unsure quite what to do with himself, the kind of endearing clumsiness that makes him impossible not to love. Flo, on the other hand, was fully food-motivated from start to finish, happily working her way through treats and pats while Dr Bec went about the visit.

Different personalities, same relaxed outcome, both handled easily at home, in their own space, surrounded by what's familiar.

What the visit covered

General check-up: A full once-over, giving Dr Bec a clear picture of how Flo and Jerry are both doing overall.

C5 vaccination:
C5 vaccination protects dogs against five common and potentially serious conditions: canine distemper, canine hepatitis, canine parvovirus, and two strains of canine cough (parainfluenza and bordetella). Keeping this up to date is one of the simplest ways to protect a dog's long-term health.

Arthritis injection:
Flo also received an arthritis injection as part of her ongoing joint management. For dogs managing arthritis, these injections can help support joint health and comfort as part of a broader, ongoing care plan, tailored to what each individual dog needs.

Why this kind of visit works well at home

Appointments like this one show exactly why home visits suit multi-pet households so well. Jerry and Flo were seen together, in their own environment, without the logistics of loading two pets into a car and managing them both in an unfamiliar waiting room. For pets managing an ongoing condition like arthritis, being examined at home also gives Dr Bec a much clearer sense of how they're really moving day to day.
